Foundation Learning Programmes

Foundation Learning is a programme of short qualifications aimed at improving skills to help learners progress into further education, training – such as an apprenticeship, or employment. The programmes are tailored to meet individual needs and will normally include Functional Skills, such as communication, numeracy or ICT, Vocational Qualifications and Personal & Social Development, such as employability skills, delivered at either Entry Level or Levels 1 or 2, whichever is the most appropriate. Learners will also get the opportunity to gain valuable work experience with real employers as part of their course.
